Statement of RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC Compliance

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC of January 27, 2003, by the European Parliament and Council, affects all participants in the electrical and electronic industries.

The RoHS Directive specifically addresses the reduction of use and ultimate elimination of the following substances:



	Cadmium	Hexavalent Chromium	Lead	Mercury	PBBs (Polybrominated biphenyls)	PBDEs (Polybrominated diphenyl ethers)

These materials must be replaced by other substances by July 1, 2006. The use of mercury, lead, cadmium and hexavalent chromium will still be allowed under specific circumstances, or certain end product applications. These exceptions for the four materials are detailed in the Directive's Annex.

Notes:

1. This RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) list represents the status of Airpax brand Circuit Breakers as related to the DIRECTIVE 2002/95/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 January 2003. This Directive deals with the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. This Directive places restrictions on the use of, or bans the use of 6 substances. Those substances are lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). The use of mercury, lead, cadmium and hexavalent chromium will still be allowed under specific circumstances, or certain end product applications. Those exceptions for the 4 materials are detailed in the Directives’ ANNEX.

2. The 0202 product family is considered a military product first and a commercial product second. As such, platings must meet military tin whiskering specifications and may contain lead.

3. The Airpax brand circuit breakers and circuit protectors indicated in the "RoHS Compliant" column are compliant as of January 1st, 2008.
